Funding

Capital Area Teen Court is a non-profit organization funded by Wake County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) which is a division of the NC Department of Public Safety (DPS.) We are a part of ReEntry Inc. More information can be found here. 

• Reviews the needs of juveniles in the county who are at risk of delinquency or who have been adjudicated undisciplined or delinquent.
• Reviews the resources available to address those needs.
• Prioritizes community risk factors.
• Determines the services needed to address those problems areas.
• Develops a request for proposal for services in need.
• Submits a written funding plan to the county commissioners for approval.
• Evaluates program performance.
• Increases public awareness of the causes of delinquency and strategies to reduce the problems.
• Develops strategies to intervene, respond to and treat the needs of juveniles at risk of delinquency.
• Provides funds for treatment, counseling, or rehabilitation services.
